The problem can't be fixed via drivers, as the devices aren't even visible to the system. You can use a tool like the USB Prober included with the Xcode developer tools to verify this for yourself.

I have the same problem. Two XP10 units working for one year ago until now.
I don't undertand why a new mac os x drivers can't solve this detection problem.
Perhaps a simple driver to control only the midi mapping and using a external sound card for me will be a solution.
Any idea?

Hi, since I have update to mac os x 10.6.4 XP10 usb detection is not working. My macbook intel do not recognize the midi controllers. the sound card some times are recognized, but midi controllers do not. With mac os x 10.6.2 normally works fine, some times need to reconnect devices two times but finally works ok. Now I can't use my XP10. Any new drivers or solution? Thanks

Finally it works.I don't know how , but it works on Windows 7 64bits.

Tried three Macs PowerPc based running OSX 10.4.11...no go.

Doesn't work with three different NON-Intel Macs I tried running OSX 10.4.11 Tiger...tried different cables and different Xp10s...System Prefs says "No EXS connected"...
