Why doesn't my Otus layer switch key work properly? The layer keeps switching back by itself!
When pressed once, Otus' layer switch key functions just like a shift key on a regular keyboard - for quick adjustments on the other deck. By doubleclicking the key you'll get the layer to change and stay changed.
Will Otus work with one or two XP10's on the same system? Will the sound outputs work together, for example Otus for two stereo-outs and a XP10 for one stereo-out, to use 3 channels in Traktor?
It is possible to combine Otus and XP5/10 in the same system. Our ASIO & MIDI drivers support multiple EKS controllers.
I wish to have two Otus controllers in Traktor, one for deck A and C, and one for Deck B and D. If I hook up two controllers, will I be able to use separate controls, or will I just have two decks that do exactly the same thing (only A and C)?
With Otus you will be able to separate the controls and have control of all four decks separately.
How does the Otus pitch work? When I switch between decks does the pitch jump to the position the slider is?
No, Otus touch slider operates in relative mode. This means that you will be moving the slider up and down. There are three different modes which allow very accurate & fast adjustments.
Is the soundcard fully USB compliant, so I don't need a driver on Linux? Does the device have full MIDI support? I would like to use Otus on Ubuntu Studio with an opensource DJ software.
Otus soundcard is fully USB compliant but the MIDI interface requires a driver. Currently Linux platform is not supported by our MIDI driver. We are planning to support Linux, but there is no schedule for it yet.
