Otus with Linux?

4 messages - 761 views
Hi. Does anyone have any experience in getting the Otus to work under Linux? Seeing as Mac OSX is based (loosely) around a Unix core, I would have thought that porting the drivers to work in Linux would be relatively straightforward. Come on EKS, you've been saying that Linux support would be "coming soon" for well over a year now!
Bump.
A year further down the line and EKS are still no closer to providing a driver for an ever-growing Linux community.
Come on boys, you've really let us down!
Unfortunately we have no resources for in-house software support for Linux at the moment. However we have been cooperating with the open source DJ software project Mixxx ( http://www.mixxx.org/ ), but the compatibility isn't finished. You might be able to get more information about the process by contacting them.

Best regards,
-EKS
It's been well over a year now since I posted my original request for Linux support. Your technical specifications state that Linux IS supported, yet there are still no drivers available.
I feel really badly let down by EKS's lack of interest in this area, especially given how much the Otus cost initially.
Does OSX differ that much from Linux that a driver set cannot be ported?
